All of our timber is 100% PRESSURE TREATED which means that it is impregnated with a wood preservative in a vacuum pressure timber impregnation plant, this protects your building from insect attack & decay. Together with our own high standards of craftsmanship, this means that you have a maintenance free building which has a service life of many years against rot. We pride ourselves on these buildings being eco friendly, lasting four times as long as other major competitors. We have buildings on sites that are 29 years old. Skinners Sheds philosophy is demonstrating its commitment to tackling the complex issue of timber procurement. All sources of timber is from a well managed, legal and non-controversial sources which carry recognised and acceptable certifications to produce strong and dependable building that will last up to 29 yrs, NOT a couple of years, as inferior buildings.
All of our buildings are made from Redwood timber. NO nasty sterling board or chipboard is used. All of our panelshave diagonal bracing for extra strength and durability. Our floors are made up of floor joists that give you a strong and permanently dry floor with clearance for air flow. All of our panels have stainless steel nails these are very expensive but will stop rusty ring marks.
